Why
Raptors

Birds of prey are disproportionately harmed by the things humans build and the substances we use. Power lines, rodenticides, and habitat loss take raptors out of the wild at a rate that does not get enough attention. Falcanna's rehabilitation facility on the Olympic Peninsula gives injured and displaced birds the care, space, and time they need to return to where they belong.

The Ambassador

Meet Sky,
Falcanna's
Falcon Ambassador

Sky is a 12-year-old male Saker falcon, the primary bird used in traditional Arabic Gulf falconry. He was rescued by Bethany and Justin from a neglectful situation and now lives at what the team calls the Luxury Falcon Resort. He eats fresh quail, flies in a football field-sized exercise pen, and takes long baths. He is not a mascot. He is proof of what this work looks like in practice.
